I do not offer one off lessons as I find that students don’t benefit much from only attending one session. Much like learning how to play the piano or violin, one stand alone lesson wouldn’t be very useful. I do however offer one off audition preparation lessons which are priced at £30 per session. I do not allow anyone to watch lessons. I used to let parents sit and watch lessons however I have discovered that students work much better without an audience. Learning new skills can be daunting and nerve wracking and the last thing a student needs is someone watching. Just like learning another instrument/skill, students would be expected to attend their lesson alone. I offer lots of performance opportunities throughout the year for friends and family to come and watch. Also snippets of video footage from the lesson can be sent to parents with consent.

Lesson fees are paid 1 week in advance via bank transfer. You can also pay in advance for the month. The 24 hour cancellation fee still applies if you pay in advance for the month.

4 Loudon Street, South Shields. Tyne and Wear, NE34 0LU. Lessons take place from a dedicated teaching area in my home. You may find it easier to park on Harton lane as Loudon Street is a cul-de-sac which can be difficult to turn around in.

Uniform can be ordered via the AFD uniform shop. All students must have the AFD uniform.

Group lesson (Sunday at 7pm-8pm) – £3 *only available to students attending one to one lessons on a regular basis*
